Josh Dobbs the recently acquired quarterback, led the Minnesota Vikings to a 31-28 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, following the early injury to starter Jaren Hall. What you should know is as follows:

In the first quarter, Dobbs, whom the Vikings acquired from the Arizona Cardinals around the trade deadline, replaced Hall in the game. Dobbs completed 20 of 30 passes for 158 yards and two scores.
After a 3-yard run, Hall was struck and had to leave the game. After replacing starting Kirk Cousins, who tore his Achilles tendon in Week 8, on Sunday, the rookie Hall debuted in the NFL.

After the team decided to go with Taylor Heinicke of Atlanta instead of Desmond Ridder, who started the first eight games, he passed for 268 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Josh-freaking-Dobbs, how about him? He was the Vikings’ superhero during their triumph on Sunday. He finished a last-drive touchdown comeback while donning all the capes. His overall completion rate was 20 of 30 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns. 66 yards were also gained by him on seven ground carries.

Dobbs arbitrarily took in the game plan and somehow successfully led the Vikings’ offense. Despite losing two fumbles, one in the second quarter and another at the start of the third, he was not hindered by the mistakes.

In addition, he made many third-down conversions with his legs, eluding cornerbacks and defenders and slogging his way through, including a crucial fourth-and-7 on the last play. He was very emotional after so many of the touchdowns. This is a player who had only moved into his Arizona home two weeks prior; he had to quickly pick up a whole new scheme and play most of the snaps on Sunday.

The strangest statistic from an oddball Atlanta-Minnesota game has to be this: the Falcons had two touchdown drives that ended backward. Both were the result of turnovers that put Atlanta deep in Vikings territory but led to field goals from Younghoe Koo.

In the first, a minus-4-yard drive in the second quarter culminated with a Koo kick from 23 yards, following a first-and-goal at the 1-yard line. The second one began at Minnesota’s 30-yard line in the third quarter, netted minus 6 yards, and finished in a 54-yard field goal by Koo. During the day, Koo scored four field goals, two of which came from more than fifty yards. In addition, following a Falcons personal penalty, he made a 48-yard extra point. With Kendall
