Kenedy Agyapong aspiring NPP flagbearer and business mogul advices the party’s delegates on the elections set for 2026.
The election is going to give insight on who will represent the party in 2028 as president. The party is having their National Delegates conference on 19th July, 2026.
In a post on Facebook he highlighted the importance of choosing a credible leader to safeguard a flawless victory in the upcoming general election.
Kenedy who was the Former Member of Parliament in Assin Central partook in the Flagbearer election for NPP in 2024 and lost. He has faced a lot of backlash for his way of speaking and his number of kids but many are now looking for that in a candidate.
Besides Kenedy’s plans for industrialization and his business background are great factor propelling him during this race.
On his social media post he said ” I am pleading with you to take the right decision that reflects the views of Ghanaians and delegates, especially the grassroots, they are the voice of the people and we should listen to them, So I am pleading with all the to make the right decision to help this party win the 2028 election”.
The message Kenedy sent out is a great one and diplomatic without any disparaging statements or addressing any opponents.
The party shouldn’t have sent in Bawumia right after ex-president Nana Addo was about leaving office since the ex-president faced a lot of back lash for his governing style. They could have taken a page right out of the Obama administration book bringing in a new face before trying to sell Bawumia in 2028.
The administration also being addressed didn’t take a page out of their book affecting their elections too as well.
