Pop superstar Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom have reportedly ended their relationship after nearly ten years together. The couple, who began dating in 2016 and briefly split in 2017 before reuniting in 2018, got engaged in 2019 and welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020.
Their last public appearance as a couple was at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March, where body language experts noted a shift in Katy’s demeanor, describing her as distant and unusually serious.
Sources close to the couple revealed that Katy’s busy world tour has put significant strain on their relationship, with the pair reportedly “living separate lives” in recent months. Orlando was recently seen in Australia with their daughter while Katy continued her tour in Perth.
Reports suggest the breakup had been in the works for some time, with insiders claiming the couple plans to make a formal announcement after Katy’s tour ends in December. It’s also believed that creative pressures surrounding Katy’s latest album, 143, contributed to rising tensions.
Despite the split, sources say the breakup is amicable. “Katy is upset but relieved she won’t have to go through another divorce,” a source told Us Weekly, referencing her past marriage to Russell Brand.
Orlando is expected to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s highly anticipated wedding in Italy without Katy by his side.
Representatives for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have yet to comment publicly on the breakup.
