The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has announced updated dates for the 2025 U20 Boys Cup, announcing that the competition would now take place in Ghana from July 10 to 23, 2025.
This comes after a recent deferral of the initial schedule, which had not been publicly disclosed.
WAFU B issued a press release urging all seven member nations to make the necessary preparations to ensure full participation in the rescheduled competition.
The regional event is an important developing ground for young players in West Africa, sometimes serving as a qualifier for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Previous tournaments have featured young stars who went on to represent their senior national teams.
Ghana, a longstanding youth football superpower, last hosted the competition in 2020, and the event is likely to be tough and well-organized.
