Over the span of 2 months the dollar rate has deflated causing the reduction of goods and services in many economies of our country. Many sectors have not reduced their prices still to move in accordance with the new rates. Some including transport, food , tourism, energy and many more.
This is what has pushed the minister of Transport to tell the domestic airline operators to reduce prices in accordance since the dollar is now fairly stable to reduce prices of transportation fare. The cedi gains has been so massive and as such prices of services should follow as such.
He added that there is no competition in the domestic airline it makes there two companies monopolists in the market since there is no competitive market. He also noted government engaging more with airline operators for a price range adjustment.
Once prices reduce it could be a little more affordable for the average Ghanaian to get to their distant destination more quickly and affordably.
