Christian Atsu, the late Black Stars winger, returns home today, March 17th, 2023.
Christian Atsu’s funeral is currently taking place on the State House Forecourt.
Christian Atsu’s body arrived at the funeral grounds earlier this morning, and family, friends, and loved ones filed past it to pay their final respects.
Christian Atsu’s wife, three children, and in-laws are seen filing his remains in a video that has gone viral on social media.
It’s heartbreaking to see Christian Atsu’s children looking at his dead body.
Many Ghanaians assumed that the children were unaware of their father’s death, but it turns out that they are!
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo, former President John Dramani Mahama, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agapong, Sule Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, Michael Essien and his wife, John Paintsil, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Black Stars coach Chris Hughton are all in attendance at the funeral.
