Victor Osimhen emerged victorious, marking the first Nigerian to do so since Kanu Nwankwo’s victory in 1999. The 2023 African Player of the Year was awarded to Nigerian and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen at the Confederations of African Football (CAF) Football Awards in Marrakech.
