Shatta Wale Fires Back at Fraud Claims, Questions Calls for FBI Investigation

Dancehall heavyweight Shatta Wale has hit back hard at recent fraud allegations linking him to his friend and collaborator, socialite Hajia4Reall, following her arrest in the U.K. and extradition to the U.S. on romance scam charges.

In a fiery Facebook Live video, the “My Level” hitmaker addressed online calls for the FBI to investigate him, dismissing the accusations as baseless and insulting.

“Do I look like a fraudster? Why would I do fraud? I sleep in the studio, working hard!” he challenged skeptics

Shatta Wale was particularly incensed by suggestions that his association with Hajia4Reall implicated him in the alleged $2 million scam, asserting that friends and collaborators shouldn’t be presumed guilty by association.

“Stop tagging the FBI to check me. Ask them if they have my records,” he said. “As I speak now, I sleep in the studio… Can’t you see how hard I work?”

He also brought up past situations—such as the Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) scandal—to underline a recurring pattern of fans unjustly linking him to controversy just for his associations.

Shatta Wale’s blunt dismissal didn’t end there. When critics called for harsher legal scrutiny, he replied in shock and frustration:

“Some stupid people are inciting the FBI to arrest me… I am busy counting money,”

Despite publicly distancing himself from fraud, Shatta Wale’s combative tone has drawn mixed reactions. Some supporters defend his right to privacy and legal innocence, while others call for more accountability given the serious nature of the allegations.

As of now, neither the FBI nor Ghana’s Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) has issued any statements indicating an investigation is underway. Shatta Wale’s video stand gives a glimpse of growing tension online, as public perception and celebrity accountability continue to collide.
