Award-winning dancehall artiste Samini has voiced his support for President John Mahama and Ghana’s judiciary, praising recent efforts to hold public officials accountable. Speaking on the debut episode of PrimeTime with George Quaye on Joy Prime as monitored by yocharley.com, Samini said the current wave of transparency has made him “a happy Ghanaian.”

He commended the judiciary for taking bold steps to ensure justice is served, stating:

“I like the fact that people are being brought to book and justice is being served — or it seems like justice is going to be served.”

Emphasizing that his stance isn’t rooted in political bias, Samini stressed that public officials must prioritize the nation’s interest, and anyone engaging in misconduct should face consequences.

When asked directly about President Mahama’s performance, he responded:

“The President and judicial system are doing a good job so far… Anything else, I think, is too early to throw too much light on.”

Known for his socially conscious music, Samini also signaled openness to supporting any political party with strong policies, including the New Force, if it aligns with his values.

He concluded by affirming his belief in accountability as the foundation for national progress:

“We like to see people get called out for what they’ve done wrong. That’s how we build a better Ghana.”
