The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has declared Ernest Darko Akore, a former Technical Advisor at the Finance Ministry, wanted for alleged involvement in corruption.
In a public notice, the OSP said Mr. Akore is linked to suspected financial misconduct and abuse of office. He served as Chef de Cabinet at the Ministry, advising top officials on key economic decisions.
The OSP said several attempts to reach him have failed, prompting the wanted notice. It urged the public to assist in locating him and report any leads to law enforcement.
This move is part of the OSP’s broader effort to tackle corruption in public service. The office says no one is above accountability, regardless of position.
The case has sparked debate about transparency and how Ghana handles corruption in high-level offices. Further details are expected as the investigation continues.
