Popular TV presenter Laura Woods did not hold back when she confronted former Premier League manager Alan Pardew about his recent claim regarding Arsenal football club. Following a hard-fought victory over Brighton, the Gunners now sit firmly atop the Premier League table, yet Pardew suggests their accomplishments merit an asterisk due to their style of play.

In the wake of Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Brighton, Pardew suggested that the team’s pragmatic approach would require a caveat in the event of a title win. “There’ll be an asterisk next to their name. When I analyze their performances, it’s clear that while they are professional, they lack flair,” he remarked.

Woods, appearing on talkSPORT, was quick to respond to Pardew’s comments. “That is the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever heard. Are we not allowed to take free kicks and score from set pieces? I can’t comprehend that mindset,” she asserted, emphasizing her pride in Arsenal’s evolving style of play. “If Arsenal win the league, it won’t matter how we do it; it’s about the success,” she added passionately.

    Gunners’ Premier League Dominance

Arsenal’s recent victory keeps them seven points clear at the top of the Premier League standings, positioning them well for a challenging schedule ahead. With 67 points accumulated from 30 matches, the focus now shifts as they prepare for an FA Cup match against Mansfield Town and a Champions League fixture against Bayer Leverkusen next week.
