Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur has broken his silence with a fiery clapback at critics who claim his music career has hit a standstill. The “Grind Day” hitmaker, who has recently pivoted into food content creation on TikTok, is calling out what he describes as “evil and nasty” fans for hurling insults and curses at him.

According to Kwesi, the backlash has gone too far—with some followers sending direct messages filled with hate, even wishing poverty upon him in hopes that he would return to his music roots.

In a strongly-worded response shared online, the rapper made it clear he’s not here for the negativity:

“If you think you can threaten me, you’re wasting your time. I’m not the artiste you do that to. I’ve struggled before—poverty is no longer my portion. I forbid it… You don’t like my content? Swipe up or block me, but I’ll do what I like.”

Kwesi emphasized that his music journey isn’t over, but he’ll return to it on his own terms—not out of pressure or curses from fans.

He also had a stern warning for persistent trolls:

“Keep being negative and I’ll block you. If your insults get extreme, I will insult you back. Don’t project your misery onto me. That’s why you’re still suffering. Stop being bitter idiots and leave me alone.”

His comments have since sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans praised him for defending his personal growth and freedom, others suggested he should focus on rekindling the fire that once made him one of Ghana’s most celebrated young artists.
