Kwaku Manu Fires Back at Okatakyie Afrifa Over Threats and Allegations

Ghanaian actor and media personality Kwaku Manu has called out broadcaster Okatakyie Afrifa, accusing him of making threats and spreading false claims during a recent episode of Afrifa’s For The Records show.

The clash began when Afrifa accused Kwaku Manu of trying to gain financial support from wealthy individuals like businessman Ibrahim Mahama. Afrifa went further, threatening to reveal what he claimed were Manu’s attempts to win favour from Ghana’s elite for personal gain.

This attack came after Kwaku Manu publicly appealed to former President John Mahama to help regulate media freedom in Ghana. Manu specifically expressed concern over people like social commentator Twene Jonas, who often uses harsh language to criticize public figures.

Okatakyie Afrifa, known for defending free speech and often opposing the National Democratic Congress (NDC), took issue with Manu’s comments, sparking a back-and-forth that quickly turned personal.

In a video response, Kwaku Manu didn’t hold back. He criticized Afrifa for thinking he had the right to threaten others. “You’re not God. You’re just a spoiled child who lacked discipline,” Manu said bluntly.

He also accused Afrifa of acting like someone new to fame who lets attention get to his head. “You’re an emotional blackmailer,” he said, challenging Afrifa’s public image.

Taking things further, Kwaku Manu alleged that Afrifa’s media studio was not self-funded. “I don’t depend on women like you do. Everyone knows your new studio was paid for by a woman and your political party,” Manu claimed, hinting at Afrifa’s rumored ties to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The feud between the two personalities continues to stir online reactions, as fans and critics weigh in on the drama.
