Kwaku Manu Breaks Silence On Drug Allegations With Cryptic Response

Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwaku Manu has subtly responded to recent drug trafficking allegations made against him by controversial broadcaster Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.

Afrifa-Mensah recently accused the Kumawood star of being involved in cocaine smuggling and even linked him to the deaths of children at his now-defunct school. The shocking claims have caused a stir across social media, prompting widespread reactions from fans and critics alike.

Addressing the issue for the first time, Kwaku Manu made a cryptic but telling remark during an interview with Poleeno Multimedia’s Papa Jay at the birthday celebration of Prophetess Mama Vida, founder of Vida Bethel Prayer Center.

While extending his warm wishes to the Prophetess and praising the impact of the church in his life, Kwaku Manu made a loaded comment:
“The cocaine money Okatakyie Afrifa is talking about, I got it from this church.”

His tone—laced with sarcasm—indicated that he was dismissing the allegations as baseless and absurd. Without directly naming Afrifa, Kwaku Manu’s statement appeared to mock the broadcaster’s claims while asserting his innocence in a roundabout way.

Though brief, the actor’s comment has since gone viral, sparking renewed conversation online as fans debate whether it was a denial, a joke, or a clever form of shade.

As of now, Kwaku Manu has not issued an official statement addressing the allegations in detail.
