KSI, the renowned YouTube and boxing star, is set to launch a groundbreaking documentary series titled “Race To The Top” chronicling his journey as the new owner of Dagenham & Redbridge. Scheduled for release this summer on his YouTube channel, the series aims to rival the popular “Welcome to Wrexham,” produced by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The series will provide an unprecedented look into KSI’s efforts to elevate the National League South club, providing followers with behind-the-scenes access as he navigates the challenges of football ownership. After Party Studios, known for its engaging content, will produce the show, which will be promoted across KSI’s extensive social media reach of 33.5 million followers.

Award-winning production company After Party Studios confirmed that “Race To The Top” will premiere on KSI’s YouTube this summer and will continue throughout the 2026-27 season. The series will be dubbed into 14 languages, bringing his story to a global audience.

Cameras will document KSI’s day-to-day responsibilities as he seeks to transform the club, offering viewers insight into boardroom meetings and fan interactions. The goal is to capture both the triumphs and tribulations associated with running a non-league football team in today’s competitive landscape.

KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, expressed his enthusiasm regarding this new venture: “This is a really big deal for me. For the fans who’ve been with me since Race to Division One, it’s a full-circle moment—moving from dreaming about football online to actually taking control of a club.”

Ben Doyle, director of “Race To The Top” and founder of After Party Studios, added that capturing KSI’s journey feels like a perfect continuation of their previous collaborations. “This series will give us more access than ever before, showcasing KSI’s highs and lows as he aims to guide the Daggers to the Premier League.”

With celebrities like Ryan Reynolds and NFL star Tom Brady venturing into football ownership, KSI is excited to join this growing trend. He acknowledges the challenges ahead, particularly in lifting Dagenham from the sixth tier to the Premier League. Football finance expert Professor Rob Wilson emphasized the financial demands that come with such an ambitious goal, forecasting that reaching the Premier League may require investments upwards of £250 million over 20 years.

Dr. Wilson highlighted that KSI’s leverage as a digital creator could provide valuable off-pitch revenue. If he successfully emulates the business strategies of previous celebrity owners, including those at Wrexham, KSI could potentially generate significant income through media rights and sponsorship.

As KSI embarks on this thrilling adventure, not only is he inviting fans to share in his journey, but he’s also paving the way for a new narrative in football. Football enthusiasts and fans are likely to eagerly await the release of “Race To The Top,” marking a new chapter in the world of sports documentaries.
