Acclaimed US-based Ghanaian Hiplife artist and music producer Nana King is poised to unveil his much-anticipated album, 4EVR Champion Vol. 1.

The album is set to make its global debut on March 6, 2026, a date that holds historical significance in Ghana.

This ambitious 25-track album marks the first part of a two-volume series, establishing a new chapter in Nana King’s storied career that began more than two decades ago. The second part of the series will be released later this year, maintaining the momentum of what is emerging as one of his most extensive projects yet.

Nana King is celebrated as a pioneer of the Hiplife genre, which gained popularity in Ghana in the late 1990s. With 4EVR Champion Vol. 1, he skillfully merges his foundational influences with contemporary global sounds, intertwining Hiplife, Afro Trap, R&B, and hip-hop to create an accessible and vibrant record.

The album effortlessly transitions through smooth R&B melodies, Afro Trap rhythms, classic Hiplife vibes, and modern hip-hop beats, featuring catchy melodic hooks that broaden its appeal to audiences worldwide.

This project also offers a multilingual experience, incorporating English, Twi, and Pidgin, which reflects the rich cultural tapestry that informs Nana King’s music and gives it a unique international resonance.

Nana King’s extensive musical background is complemented by a roster of talented collaborators featured on the album, most of whom are signed to his label, Ashanti International Records. This highlights Nana King’s dedication to mentoring and nurturing emerging talent in the industry.

One of the standout collaborations is with acclaimed artist Nana Queen, who appears on two key tracks, including the title track “4EVR Champion.” This song serves as a bold Afro Trap reinterpretation of Nana King’s classic 1999 anthem “Champion,” which he originally recorded with Ghanaian rap legend Ex-Doe. Nana Queen also features on the breakout single “Woye Medo,” which has already started to dominate airwaves this year.

Other featured artists include Lucia on “Fake,” Kwacy Boat on “Anadwo Yɛ Dɛ,” Boy Spike on “Ɔnnye Wo Deɛ,” and Shegah on “Odononie,” showcasing the variety of talent contributing to Nana King’s vision for this album.

Marcelle Sirkus, COO of Ashanti International Records and Nana King’s manager, commented, “This album is a celebration of the sound that solidified Nana King’s legacy while redefining the standards for Hiplife artists globally.”

The early buzz surrounding the album has been bolstered by the success of the single Woye Medo, which has been steadily gaining traction on both radio and streaming platforms since the beginning of the year.

Combining heartfelt Twi lyrics with cutting-edge production and Afro Trap beats, the track has quickly emerged as a highlight, proving that Nana King’s sound continues to resonate across generations.

With more than twenty years of contributing to the evolution of Hiplife, Nana King is now poised to take this genre to international heights. The music video for the title track “4EVR Champion” is set to excite fans, slated for release soon.

As 4EVR Champion Vol. 1 arrives on March 6, the album’s intent is unmistakable: Nana King aims not only to revisit his legendary roots but to present a groundbreaking sound to a global audience in a transformative new era.
