Inspired by the way her music had changed his life, Rev. Obofour vowed to thank Cecilia Marfo anytime he got the chance to see her.
At a church meeting, Rev. Obofour delivered GH¢20,000 in cash as promised. He stressed his belief in standing behind people who have been misunderstood and expressed his respect for her fortitude in the face of controversy.
He went on to say how much he loved and admired the artist, who had just disclosed how her congregation’s size had been impacted by disparaging remarks.
Rev. Obofour urged Cecilia to have a fiery spirit as she carried on carrying out her maker’s task while giving her the aforementioned money. He went on to say that he had received his fair share of nasty remarks and trolling on social media from Ghanaians, but he had chosen to ignore them and maintain his concentration.
The ‘Afunumu ba’ gospel hitmaker was counseled by Obofour to ignore the opinions of others and concentrate instead on the reward that God would bestow upon her at the appropriate moment.
