Kuami Eugene has disclosed that Mr. Drew has finally fulfilled the financial obligation of his contribution to the song ‘Case’.
Recall that Kuami Eugene stated in September 2023 that he had contributed to the song’s development, including the hook and a portion of the second verse, but claimed that Mr. Drew had never acknowledged nor paid him for his work.
Kuami Eugene revealed that Mr. Drew had at last gotten in touch with him and resolved the problem during an interview on Hitz FM’s “Daybreak Hitz” program.
He continued by saying that Mr. Drew made the error because he was not fully aware of the legal repercussions of publishing a song without the songwriter’s permission.
The “Rockstar” admitted that he contributed around 80% of the lyrics to Mr. Drew’s song “Case,” but the latter refused to either credit him or pay him.
However, he said that Mr. Drew has contacted him and gave him his due in a recent interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim.
“He wasn’t quite aware of what he was doing. He was unaware that it was unlawful to publish music without the author’s permission. I won’t hold that against him. He is a brother, and I am happy that he realized what he had done and called me straight away.

Previously, Kuami Eugene stated his expectation that Mr. Drew would reply to his emails and suggested offering a split sheet to help achieve a deal on the song’s earnings.
He said that because he cannot perform all of the songs he writes, he frequently writes songs for other artists, particularly when he thinks a particular song fits the style of another singer.
