Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, is currently embroiled in serious abuse allegations. According to a report by RadarOnline, the Martorell Law firm, which previously sued the rapper and his ex-girlfriend in 2022, claims to possess both text messages and photos that substantiate accusations of physical abuse against Post Malone by his former partner, Ashlen Diaz. Allegedly, the law firm has threatened to present this compelling evidence in court, suggesting that the rapper manipulated his ex-girlfriend.
Diaz had reportedly enlisted the assistance of the law firm in negotiations with Post Malone for financial support following the end of their three-year relationship in 2018. Initially, Diaz sought palimony, a legal term for financial support given to a partner after a non-marital breakup. She had agreed to provide the firm with a portion of any settlement reached.
However, according to Martorell Law, Post Malone managed to persuade Diaz to part ways with the firm by offering her $350,000 to privately settle their dispute. The motion filed by the law firm claimed that Diaz succumbed to duress, as victims often do, which ultimately worked to her disadvantage by separating her from the legal representation she desperately required.
The motion further stated that instead of accepting responsibility, Post Malone downplayed his influence over his ex-girlfriend, attempting to portray his actions and wrongful behavior as if they were simply akin to someone trying to suppress competition. As a response, Martorell Law initiated a lawsuit to seek damages from both Diaz and Post Malone for allegedly depriving the firm of the agreed-upon commission.
In his defense, the “Congratulations” artist has recently requested the dismissal of the lawsuit, asserting that he had no control over his former lover and labeling the accusations as “frivolous, unreasonable, or without foundation.”
Diaz, too, sought the dismissal of the case. In a recently submitted motion, Martorell Law responded to Post Malone’s claim that he had no sway over Diaz by asserting that their former client had acknowledged experiencing physical abuse at the hands of her ex-partner.
