The Ghana Navy has disrupted a significant illegal fuel bunkering operation along the Keta–Denu–Aflao coastline in the Volta Region following an intelligence-led maritime patrol on Thursday, 15th January 2026. A man believed to be in his late 50s has died after collapsing in a public toilet in Juaboso, Western North Region, on Thursday, January 15. The incident caused panic among residents and facility users, who rushed to the scene after noticing the man had slumped and was unresponsive. The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has clarified the government’s position on the definition of sex, stating that it must strictly refer to biological sex and the sex of a person at birth.
