Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has started disbursing funds under the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme to vulnerable families across Ghana. This round of payments will reach over 340,000 households in all 16 regions. Each household will receive GH¢64 to GH¢106, depending on the number of eligible members. LEAP supports the elderly, persons with disabilities, and extremely poor families—especially those caring for orphans and vulnerable children.
