Asante Kotoko officially presented their 2024/25 MTN FA Cup trophy to the club’s Life Patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Wednesday, in a heartfelt show of gratitude and dedication. The presentation came days after their hard-fought 2–1 victory over Golden Kick FC in the FA Cup final, played on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon.

The win marked Kotoko’s 10th FA Cup title, reaffirming their place among Ghana’s most decorated football clubs. The final was a thrilling encounter, with Kwame Opoku emerging as the hero. He opened the scoring early on and later sealed the win with a composed penalty in the dying minutes, after Bless Ege had drawn Golden Kick level with a brilliant free kick.

Leading the delegation to the Manhyia Palace were IMC Chairman Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, Board Chairman Kwesi Appiah, and Technical Director Malik Jabir, who expressed the club’s appreciation for the King’s unwavering support and blessings throughout the season.

With this triumph, Asante Kotoko not only lifted a prestigious domestic trophy but also earned qualification for the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup. The club now sets its sights on making a meaningful impact on the continental stage as they continues their journey of reclaiming glory in African football.
