    Amy Luciani Denies “Gold‑Digger” Claims

Amy Luciani has officially addressed the public following her divorce from NBA star Dwight Howard, pushing back against a wave of speculation and social media rumors surrounding their short-lived marriage.

Luciani, a rapper and former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta cast member, confirmed the split this week, expressing disappointment that the matter became public so quickly. “Yes, the divorce is true, but I never wanted this to be a media spectacle,” she said in a personal statement shared with fans.

Her message comes in response to online claims accusing her of marrying Howard for financial gain. Luciani firmly rejected the narrative, stating that she never sought Howard’s wealth and had even requested a prenuptial agreement before their January 2025 wedding.

“I told Dwight from the beginning that I wanted a prenup,” she said. “Not because I didn’t love him, but because I believe in fairness. What he worked for is his. I never asked for a single dollar.”

The marriage, which lasted just six months, was officially described in court filings as “irretrievably broken.” Luciani is seeking alimony and a fair division of marital assets, while also requesting that Howard cover her legal fees. A mutual restraining order was issued shortly after the filing.

Despite the public scrutiny, Luciani says her focus remains on peace, growth, and protecting her name. “I know who I am and what I bring to any relationship. This divorce doesn’t define me how I handle it will.”

The couple married quietly in Georgia in January and had largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight until news of the divorce broke earlier this month.
