Apostle Solomon Oduro’s shocking divorce petition alleges emotional abuse, financial betrayal, and only 12 intimate moments over 16 years.
Following the divorce declaration of Apostle Solomon Oduro and Counsellor Charlotte Oduro, new information about the reasons for their separation has surfaced.
According to reports, Apostle Solomon Oduro filed for divorce in April 2024. After his wife responded, he resubmitted an amended petition on November 29, 2024.
In his petition, Apostle Oduro stated that their traditional marriage had already been annulled and that the ordinance marriage should also be dissolved.
A closer look at the divorce petition reveals the reasons for his claim that the marriage had broken down irreparably.
According to Gossips24TV, Apostle Oduro claims that his wife no longer finds him attractive, no longer considers him a wife, and frequently excludes him from important decisions.
He also claimed that the marriage was characterized by “huge disrespect, poor communication, and ill-treatment,” to the point where his wife allegedly turned their children against him.
One of the most striking claims in the petition was that the couple had only 12 sexual encounters during their 16-year marriage.
Apostle Oduro also described incidents in which the children allegedly locked him out of the house at their mother’s request.
Furthermore, he claimed that his wife refused to eat meals prepared by their chef beginning in January 2024, and that by March, she had instructed the children to follow suit. He claimed she then started cooking separately in the master bedroom.
Since 2024, the respondent has refused to eat from the pot of the chef the petitioner employed in the matrimonial home. The petition states that she cooks from the master bedroom.
Apostle Oduro also claimed that he was subjected to both physical and emotional abuse, resulting in severe distress and anxiety.
The respondent is abusive to the petitioner, both emotionally and physically. He claimed that she removed her ring and fled their marital home at least twenty times in response to the slightest provocation.
He also claimed that their children told him about his wife’s relationship with other men, including her ex.
Despite running multiple businesses, he claimed that his wife made no financial contributions to the household or their children’s upbringing.
Apostle Oduro stated that his wife’s business ventures started with the proceeds from their second child’s naming ceremony. He claimed she sold anointing oil, communion, and clothing at church but kept the money for herself.
Regardless of these issues, he claimed to have provided for her financially by purchasing a Suzuki 4×4, a Toyota Camry, and later a brand-new Mercedes-Benz for her. He claimed that she later sold the Mercedes-Benz and now owns a Range Rover and a Jetour 4×4.
He also claimed she had purchased land in Katapor, near Kwabenya, in addition to owning a diaper brand and a wholesale and retail business.
According to Apostle Oduro, these purchases demonstrate that his wife was financially capable of supporting the household but chose not to.
Demands from the petitioner.
As part of the divorce proceedings, Apostle Oduro has made the following demands:
Dissolution of the ordinance marriage, which was performed on May 30, 2008, at the Anointed Pentecost Miracle Church.
They have joint custody of their children.
The respondent made a lump sum payment of GHยข550,000.
Both parties will retain their respective properties.
A three-bedroom house for the respondent and their children until the youngest child finishes tertiary education.
The petitioner offers to cover all three children’s school fees and provide a monthly allowance of GHยข3,000 until the youngest child completes tertiary education.
