Rep. Lauren Boebert’s recent theater incident has led to the end of her date nights with the man she was removed from the venue with earlier this month.
Boebert and her companion were asked to leave a Denver theater during a musical performance due to disruptive behavior, including vaping, singing, and causing a disturbance, according to an incident report from the Buell Theater.
In response to the incident, Boebert commented to TMZ at a Washington airport, emphasizing her role in providing levity and relief to her constituents and mentioning the weight of public scrutiny on politicians. She humorously stated, “I’m here to provide levity and lift burdens off of people.” Regarding her dating experience, she quipped, “But all in all, it was mostly a lovely time, and I’ve taken responsibility for my actions.”
Boebert made light of the situation, jokingly advising others to check their date’s political affiliation before going out. Reports suggest that the man involved in the incident is a Democrat.
The congresswoman acknowledged the understanding response from voters, emphasizing that the incident was a part of her personal life. She expressed appreciation for her date, describing him as a “wonderful man” and a “great friend.” Boebert added, “He’s a private citizen, and we have peacefully parted at this time. Great man, great friend, and I wish him all the best.”

However, surveillance footage from the theater contradicted some of Boebert’s campaign statements. It showed the pair touching each other and Boebert vaping, and there were flashes from her phone as she appeared to take a selfie. Despite the incident, Boebert remains committed to her duties as a representative while reflecting on the humorous side of her eventful date night.
After being removed from a Denver theater for disruptive behavior, Rep. Lauren Boebert has humorously acknowledged the incident. She joked on X (formerly Twitter) that she thoroughly enjoyed the musical “Beetlejuice” at the Buell Theatre and pleaded guilty to laughing and singing too loudly. The incident, originally reported by The Denver Post, has prompted inquiries to Boebert’s reelection campaign for further details.
