Recent data from Downdetector reveals a surge in user reports as Amazon and Amazon Music face widespread issues, including problems with checkout, search functions, and logging in on both the website and mobile apps.

Many users, including several team members from various media outlets, have reported frustrating experiences. For instance, attempts to access product pages often result in error messages like “sorry, something went wrong.” Additionally, improper loading of product prices and repeated logout issues when trying to check out have become common complaints. Even the parts of the Amazon site that appear functional are experiencing sluggish load times.

Amazon has acknowledged the situation, confirming the issues in a post on social media. A spokesperson, Jennie Bryant, apologized for the inconvenience, stating, “We’re sorry that some customers may be experiencing issues while shopping. We appreciate customers’ patience as we work to resolve the problem.”

Compounding the situation is the company’s ongoing struggle with outages in its AWS data centers, notably in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, which have reportedly been affected by drone strikes. However, as of now, there are no widespread outages reported in the United States or elsewhere.

For continuous updates and more information, keep an eye on Amazon’s official channels.
