Nigerian Afro-fusion superstar Burna Boy has opened up about his growing desire to start a family, admitting that age is beginning to weigh on his mind.
During his recent 34th birthday celebration in Lagos, the Grammy-winning artist revealed that a heart-to-heart conversation with Nigerian billionaire Jowizaza made him reflect deeply on his life, legacy, and the importance of fatherhood.
“Age is not on my side anymore. I really need to start having kids,” Burna Boy reportedly confessed, highlighting a personal shift in priorities.
Interestingly, this marks a change from his earlier stance. Back in May 2024, Burna Boy had stated during an Instagram Live session that he wasn’t ready for fatherhood, saying he wanted to be emotionally stable and financially prepared before taking that step.
He explained at the time, “I want my children to have better than I did. I don’t want to bring them into the world just because I can. I want to be there fully—for them and for myself.”
Now, it appears the idea of building a family is no longer a distant thought but an intention he’s ready to explore.
