Popular Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has sparked debate with his recent comments on the increasing use of sex toys among women, which he claims is negatively affecting romantic relationships and sexual satisfaction.
Speaking on United Showbiz over the weekend, Manu expressed concern that many women are becoming overly dependent on these devices, which he believes is creating unrealistic expectations in the bedroom and straining intimacy with their partners.
“These machines some women use are damaging their ability to enjoy real intimacy. Now, some can’t even be satisfied by their partners,” he stated.
He argued that the heightened stimulation from these devices makes it difficult for men to meet their partners’ new expectations, leading to frustration and disconnection.
“A man will put in all the effort, and still be told he’s not enough—because he can’t vibrate like the toy,” Manu added.
According to him, this growing trend is contributing to marital tension and emotional distance, as men face increased pressure to match the performance of devices designed for artificial stimulation.
Manu’s remarks have since ignited conversations online, with some agreeing with his concerns, while others argue that sex toys can enhance, not harm, intimacy when used responsibly.
