The Vampire Diaries directed by Julie Plec is a science fiction series which portrays 2 brothers who are vampires turned by their lover Katerina Petrova.
The series features stars like Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Candace King, Katerina Graham, Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gilles and many more. Joseph Morgan’s humor kept his character in the show for long.
Stefan the protagonist who is a vampire comes back to Mystic falls his hometown after he finds a girl who like his lover Katerina named Elena. His brother Damon comes back into town upon finding out his brother is home.
Stefan starts dating Elena she finds what he is, but still loves him. A vampire comes to town who is an Original named Elijah one of the first vampires ever created.
Elijah has a half-brother Klaus who is part were-wolf part vampire and is the most powerfullest creature but scared of his father Mikael. Klaus is there to find the human doppelgänger who is Elena but Stefan with Damon tried to stop it.
During the Ritual Damon got bitten by a werewolf which is lethal to vampires causing Stefan to sell himself to Klaus to save his brother. In that period Elena starts to fall for Damon and later start to date. Stefan blames Klaus for what happened.
Seasons later Sirens come into town using mind control and threats to force Damon with his best friend Enzo to do the devils work. They later work with the devil himself (Cade) to accomplish his deeds but find a loophole to kill him. But after they kill him they realize their ex lover is now the new devil who set out for revenge against the siblings.
Stefan with the help of Elena’s best friend Bonnie destroy hell and he dies. 8/10 series.
