Ghanaian actor and musician Lilwin (Kwadwo Nkansah) has stirred conversation in the Kumawood film industry with a bold claim: only three directors have what it takes to produce movies fit for international platforms.
Speaking in an interview with Papa Jay of Poleeno Multimedia during the naming ceremony of his PR officer’s child, Lilwin didn’t mince words.
“There are many so-called directors in Kumawood, but only three can shoot films that meet international standards,” he stated.
Pressed to name them, he listed Frank Fiifi Garbin and Jackson K. Bentum as the top two. As for the third?
“Let the rest of the directors meet and decide who among them deserves it,” he said with a smirk.
Lilwin’s remarks have sparked debate within the local film industry, with fans and stakeholders weighing in on the state of Kumawood and its global potential.
