The much-anticipated 2025 NBA draft happened this 25th June at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The draft included may recruits from across American colleges and a few other countries.
Many expected the draft picks to go in a certain order but were proved wrong during the occasion. They public were expecting Ace Bailey (Rutgers University) to be drafted 3rd instead of VJ Edgecombe (Baylor University).
Paul George (76ers player) predicted Ace Bailey’s draft position to fall since Ace didn’t work out with any of the teams before the event. According to the internet he was waiting on some teams demands from the 76ers but never got it. He was set out to go to the Wizards but Jazz him.
In videos circulating on social media you could see Ace and Collins Murray-Boyles looking in disdain after getting drafted. The two denied saying they were in shock. Ace has arrived in Utah yesterday for team workout but he went a little late causing a spectacle.
The first-round pick draft names in an order: Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, VJ Edgecombe, Kon Knueppel, Ace bailey, Tre Johnson, Jeremiah Fears, Egor Demin, Collin Murray-Boyles, Khaman Maluach, Cedric Coward, Noa Essengue, Derik Queen, Carter Bryant, Yang Hansen, Joan Beringer, Walter ClaytonJr, Noah Traore, Kasparas Jakuclonis, Will Riley, Drake Powell, Asa Newell, Nique Clifford, Jase Richardson, Ben Saraf, Danny Wolf, Hugo Gonzalez, Liam McNeeley, and Yanic Konan.
The Draft this year has caused a lot of controversy online but many loved the excitement and love these 4 shared after getting drafted : Khaman Maluach, Walter Clayton Jr, Yang Hansen and VJ Edgecombe. Two of the players stories touched many people creating a new fan base for them VJ and Khaman. Yang and Walter because of their humbleness. This year’s draft has been so wonderful.
