US-based Ghanaian comedienne Afia Schwarzenegger has called out Kivo Gari after one of her twin sons allegedly found stones in his gari mix. In a video shared on Instagram, her son can be seen in the kitchen displaying what appeared to be a stone found while preparing the popular Ghanaian snack.
In the caption, Afia Schwar urged her followers to stay vigilant, especially when feeding such products to children.
“Inside the Kivo Gari my son bought were stones. Please be vigilant, especially when giving it to children,” she wrote.
She also went Live on TikTok to further explain the incident, revealing that she had advised her son to buy the Kivo brand instead of a locally packaged one—only for them to discover the foreign objects.
The video has sparked debate online, with many concerned about food safety and product quality.
