Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has reassigned Aboubakar Ouattara from the role of head coach to special advisor to the board of directors,” the club said in an official statement.
Aboubakar Ouattara was formally relieved of his position as head coach by Hearts of Oak and appointed as a special advisor to the Board of Directors.
This comes after Mas-Ud Didi Dramani was hired as the team’s new head coach for a two-year term.
The Phobians avoided relegation and finished in fourth place in the just concluded Ghana Premier League season, thanks in large part to Ouattara, who has been the team’s leader for the last two seasons.
“Aboubakar Ouattara will be collaborating closely with the Board of Directors on unique tasks and responsibilities in his capacity as a Special Advisor. The board wishes Aboubakar Ouattara well in his new role and anticipates a fruitful partnership that will propel the team to new heights.
Preparing the team for the 2025 President’s Cup matchup against bitter rivals Asante Kotoko is the first focus of recently hired head coach Didi Dramani.
On July 6, 2025, the one-time game will take place at Accra Sports Stadium.
