Controversial Ghanaian socialite Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, better known by her stage name “Afia Schwarzenegger”, currently living in the United States, has complained to American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry about some Ghanaian TV stations that have began showing his new film, Straw, without the right permissions. The socialite also hailed the veteran American actor in a social media post for his new Netflix-produced film, which has received critical acclaim and a lot of attention since its release.
She informed Tyler Perry that a Ghanaian TV station had illegally pirated his movie “Straw” on their television channel without asking his consent or seeking the right licenses and permissions. Afia Schwarzenegger revealed that she chose to let him know about the situation because she was worried about how piracy could affect the film’s revenue and especially in light of the movie’s critics and performance.
In her direct message to Tyler Perry, the controversial social media celebrity shared her home address and asked him to get in touch with her if he needed any additional help taking action against Ghanaians who were illegally streaming the film on TV stations.
According to Afia Schwarzenegger, she had a list of Ghanaian television stations that screened the film after obtaining it illegally off Netflix’s streaming services. The former UTV personality went on to say that she would be grateful if Tyler Perry paid her $1 million to apprehend certain Ghanaians for violating copyright on his behalf. After footage of Ghanaian local television station Light TV showing the recently released Netflix film “Straw,” starring Taraji P. Henson, appeared on social media, Afia Schwarzenegger complained to Tyler Perry.
