Ghana’s legal landscape continues to evolve, and new data from Dennislaw Ghana reveals the top five law firms in the country based on the number of practicing lawyers. Leading the list in 2025 is Minkah-Premo & Co., also known as MPOBB, solidifying its dominance in the legal sector.
If you’re wondering which law firm holds the top spot in Ghana this year, the answer is clear: Minkah-Premo & Co. leads the way. Despite not always appearing at the top of search results, three major news platforms — GhanaWeb, MyJoyOnline, and Peace FM — have all reported that the firm currently has the highest number of practicing lawyers in the country. The rankings, based on data from Dennislaw Ghana, highlight a major shift in the country’s legal scene.

Here’s a closer look at Ghana’s five biggest law firms in 2025 by number of lawyers:

    1. Minkah-Premo & Co. (MPOBB) – 54 Lawyers

Minkah-Premo & Co. leads the 2025 ranking with a total of 54 lawyers, making it the largest law firm in the country. The firm is highly regarded for its strength in dispute resolution and commercial litigation. It also stands out for maintaining gender balance, employing 15 male and 15 female lawyers.

    2. Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah—44 Lawyers

In second place is Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah with 44 lawyers. The firm is known for its deep expertise in corporate and commercial law. Impressively, around 71% of its legal team are women, highlighting its commitment to diversity and inclusion.

    3. Moomim & Botta Solicitors – 43 Lawyers

Moomim & Botta Solicitors, with 43 lawyers, takes the third spot. Based in Kumasi, it is the only firm among the top five that operates outside the capital city, Accra. This highlights the increasing growth and importance of legal services across other regions of Ghana.

    4. AB & David Africa – 42 Lawyers

AB & David Africa ranks fourth with 42 lawyers. The firm specializes in government-related legal work and policy reform. It is also known for placing women in leadership roles and promoting gender equity within its ranks.

    5. Sam Okudzeto & Associates – 40 Lawyers

Completing the top five is Sam Okudzeto & Associates, employing 40 lawyers. The firm has a wide scope across multiple legal sectors and features strong female representation across its practice.

This ranking demonstrates not only the size of these firms but also the shifts in legal practice across regions and sectors in Ghana. With Minkah-Premo & Co. at the forefront, the country’s legal profession continues growing in scale and inclusivity.
