Paa Kwesi Nduom: “I’m thinking of giving up on football in Ghana; it’s not worth the investment.”

Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, the bankroller for the Division One League team Elmina Sharks, has stated that he is thinking of leaving the club’s management.

He believes that, given the difficulties involved, running the club is not “worth” it.

On Sunday, February 16, during their league match against Swedru All Blacks, players and officials allegedly attacked a referee, putting Nduom’s team in the wrong kind of news.

Nduom also stated his intention to resign from his position as manager of the football team in an interview with GTV Sports+, where he also refused to take responsibility for the actions of his team.

“I’m debating whether or not to keep this team in the league. It’s not worthwhile. I don’t work for pay. There is no other reason why I do it. “We pursue opportunities,” he stated.

Our players are playing in Egypt and other countries. They are wealthy and doing well. Are these kinds of humiliations something we must endure?

The tumultuous scenes following referee Eso Doh Morrison’s final whistle were the main storyline, even though the All Blacks won the match 1-0.

The away team won all three points as a result of an attack by Elmina Sharks players and officials on the referee and other match officials over the penalty call.
